Physicians Formula Makeup Challenge

So, recently I found out about a makeup challenge that sounded fun, challenging, and cool! Things us beauty people like to do. PUT ON MAKEUP! Not exactly though, the challenge is to make your eyes pop with eye shadows, mascara and/or liner! Do you know what color will make your eye color pop?So this is how it goes, register at their site here: http://mypfbeauty.com/

You can find all the information on what to do. I am going to enter! Are you? You can win $5,000, Ray Bans, and Physicians Formula products! Yay. I'm always down for any of those prizes! Here are a few pictures of their products:These are the three products for brown eyes, it's purple packaging and purple products.

The Brown eyes duo mascara, one end is black and the other purple. The black has more formula so don't worry about that. You can also mix the two colors or do black on top and purple on bottom or vice versa.
The Brown eyes shadow palette. Comes with 9 shades (3 trios) and 3 looks! Natural, playful and dramatic! There's a shade in the second trio that reminds me of a MAC color. Actually when I swatched it on my hand I thought "gees, this looks just like stars and rockets"! The highlighter colors are also great for the inner corners or as a highlight for the brow bone and the tops of cheek bones. The Brown eyes gel liner! Comes with 3 gel liners a brown , purple and black. Stackable but you can take one for the go. Also comes with a liner brush which reminds my a lot like the Bobbi Brown brush liner.

Thank you to Physicians Formula for providing these products and for doing this makeup challenge. Please vote for me here: http://mypfbeauty.com/makeup-challenge.html?catid=1#videoid=55

Finally got it done!

So after months and months of talking about getting rhinoplasty, I finally got it done. The other day in fact, July 27, 2010. And today is the 29th so I am on my second day. I have a few pics that I will post....So far there isn't too bad of brusing. It looks like I have some in the pics but if you seen me in person it doesn't look like I have any. A little swelling and it's just mostly my tip that's been fixed and the width of my nose.

Well here are a few pics.....if you have any questions please ask!
So this is day one on the left and day two on the right with Eric.

Fairy Tale Town

So if you live in the bay or Northern California....and you have children maybe this place is for you. It's called Fairy Tale Town, it's in Sacramento California right across from the Sacramento Zoo. It's very affordable $4.50 for adults and ages 2 years and under are free and 3-12 I think are $3.00 or $4.00.

It's like a big fairy tale themed park. They have walks and a stage with performers and some animals. Very little though. Mostly slides and fixtures to climb. Great for younger kids so they can get tired and go to bed early. LOL. So mommy and daddy can play at night!

Here are a few pics:

What's the reasoning people are secretive of plastic surgery?

So as you all might know I am getting some surgery done soon to my face. Now I was talking to my man this morning and was just wondering why people can be so discreet or secretive? I mean I guess I know why, so you think it's real and natural that they look that way!

Is that the reason? Or is it something else? I don't know I was just wondering this. I mean if you have the money and have been wanting to do whatever it is your going to change for a long time and feel passionate about it, why hide it. Be proud of it and happy! More power to you if you can afford it!

What do you think? Give me and other readers your insight! Thanks for reading!

Sephora Review

So earlier this month I went to a Sephora in Walnut Creek and I bought two things. The best in bronze deluxe sampler and the Sephora mineral matte setting powder.

You can find pictures and products here:

The Bronze Sampler:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P262501&categoryId=S11505

The Matte Setting Powder:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P243315&categoryId=S10810

So in the Bronze Sampler you get:
Bare Escentuals Faux Tan
Josie Maran bronzing argan oil
Lorac tantalizer baked bronzer
Too Faced pink leopard bronzing powder
Sephora nail polish in bright red
Benefit high beam
Temptu retouch highlighter
Smashbox artifical light illuminating lotion
Tarte emphaseyes waterproof clay shadow liner
Korres monoi oil bronzing powder

So out of those I've used the Too Faced bronzing powder, the Tarte shadow liner, and the Korres bronzing powder!

The Too Faced bronzing powder is not pigmented enough for me and it's way too shimmery, my face gets on the oily side and that just doesn't work. That's probably why I haven't tried any of the other highlighting products. (but maybe I will today and get back to you). Plus it's a small compact and I'm not a big fan of the packaging! It does come with a mirror though.

The Tarte shadow liner I FREAKING LOVE! It's a great size plus it comes with another lid which I keep on to make sure it really doesn't get dried out. I just don't like the packaging because the threading of the lid seems to be scrapping off! I use it almost everyday as a shadow base, plus it's great because it's waterproof so if I sweat or something and my lids can get oily sometimes but it doesn't crease!

The Korres bronzing powder is GREAT too you get a big compact, with a mirror. It's a great color and it's matte it comes off light but you can always increase it. I'm in between light and medium but since it's summer I'm faux tanning and such but the color is great on my and I think really any skin tone for that matter. It's not too dark and not too light. I think it can work GREAT on fair skin. I am starting to get some rashing on my temples where I place it so it might be from the Monoi Oil, I don't know. That's just the down fall to that one.

But all in all I think the items I've used paid for the whole thing because the Korres powder is $28 alone and I know the shadow liner is $22. The whole sampler is only $39.

Now as for the service at that Sephora, not too good. People there seem really stuck up it is a higher class area and a lot of Caucasians, that seem to be prejudice. That's just my opinion but whatever. Plus they don't seem to really know their products and what they have!

Oh, now for the Sephora matte setting powder....I think it's an okay product. For $18 it's allllright. But it does somewhat make my skin more matte through out the day and it does absorb some of the oil. Although I don't take it with my too work, it's just too big I also have my MAC blotting powder in my makeup bag. But the setting powder is GREAT for the under eye area when your doing some eye work that can have some fall out. I've tried it for that but I feel like I'm wasting it for $18. LOL. It can also make me very white looking unless I blend it in with my kabuki. I don't know maybe I'm using it wrong.

If you like what I talked about or have any opinions or suggestions to use any of these products PLEASE leave me a comment. Or if you've used them yourself! THANKS

I've set a date!!! YAY

So I know I haven't been on here as often as I would like. Work and family has kept me pretty busy! But In that process I have had my consultation with Dr. Vivian Ting in Walnut Creek and I have set my schedule appointment for my rhinoplasty! July 27th! YAY! I am so excited!

During my consultation she explained what she can and can not do. Since I am Asian and have an Asian nose my nose will not look like a Caucasian's. LOL. But she told me that it will look about 25% smaller which is a dramatic difference. I'm not too worried if I will look the same or not I just want my nose smaller.

One of my biggest concerns are that I will not like my nose! I am really confident in Dr. Ting, but that is just one of my thoughts that keep going through my head over and over again. She did say that if I don't like it I do get 1 free revision. Although I feel that is a contradiction because if I don't like it how can you fix it. LOL. But I trust her and I trust GOD that he will keep me safe.

Waiting for my Pressing Materials

So I ordered a few products so I can press a lot of my Bare Minerals Shadows. I am sooo excited! And very anxious! I've ordered the products from CoastalScents.com . A few of the palettes and of course the EZ PREZ medium. Also a few of the brush guards to guard and protect my brushes. I also ordered the 10 palette blush. I LOVE blushes so I'm excited to try that out. Since it was a Coastal Scents Friday sale I ordered it. I heard they are pretty pigmented so that's great.

If any of you who read my blog and have tried pressing minerals, particularly Bare Minerals shadows, please leave me a comment and let me know what you came up with. I know there are a few videos on YOUTUBE but not very much. So yeah let me know I would love to know what I should do, or do different. THANKS!

Sigma Makeup

Many of you that watch videos on YOUTUBE.com know of Sigma Makeup. Some of you may have bought or received products from this company. For those of you that might not know who or what Sigma Makeup is, let me tell you. Well Sigma Makeup is a beauty company that use to just sell brushes, but now they also sell a few makeup products.

This company is great! They sell great quality brushes that are pretty affordable. They have sets and a few individual brushes that can be purchased. I wish that maybe they sold each brush they have individually. But I think I have an idea why they don't (me being in retail and all). But they might eventually. Who knows.

They also sell makeup. Mostly eyeshadows, and a blush set. The eyeshadows have great pigmentation to them. They do have some fallout and all shadows are shimmery or satiny so if you have or tend to have oily lids you might not like the shadows. That is probably one of the downsides. They do not have matte shadows. They do have one matte blush which I love! I actually love all the blushes. I am a blush girl. The only shadow that I use on a daily basis is Paint it Black. I use it darken my looks and use it to soften my liner or as a liner. The shadows are extremely blendable which I love. So that's a good thing. You can find more products and information here:

Sigma Makeup

So far I have purchased with my own money, the contour brush, the sigma complete eyes kit and the beauty on the go complete kit. One of the biggest things I really don't like is the fact that there marketing pictures that they send through their email blasts and on their site, they don't use their own makeup. Some of the colors are bright, and their makeup is not bright at all!

Disclaimer: All opinion are mine and have not been influenced by Sigma Makeup. And products talked about have been purchased by me. Thank you.

New Secret Moments Body Care

So as you all know I am a manager at Victoria's Secret! And I LOVE working there. We do have a few new scents of Secret Moments Body Care launched today. And a promotion started today. If you purchase 3 of the Secret Moments Body Care Products you get a free tote.

Now this collection is supposed to bring back memories. I love this collection. It has something for everyone. There are WARM scents, FLORAL scents and FRUITY scents.

Can you tell me which is what? Which is WARM, which is FLORAL and which is FRUITY?
